Artists statement

I want to paint with light the way Tiancheng Sum relights a single image portrait(Figure 12).

I mostly paint portraits and landscapes. The biggest challenge is painting the subject as though it was lit in the perfect light. Marrying a great subject to an image of great lighting is the challenge. I would have hoped machine learning could be an invaluable tool in that process. Superceeding my photoshopping skills.
